In case of: landslide settlements, unstable slopes, deformation of rock masses, tunnel excavations, bulkheads, embankments and dams; OTR suggests digital incremental extensometer OG311Dx.
The system allows to measure the axial component of the motion,so it define the movement of a point in the space, it’s necessary combine the extensometer to an inclinometer.
The access casing of the instrument is inclinometric with idoneal magnetical rings on. Them have to be cemented to the soil to be considered in solidarity to the ground. The mutual position of the rings is detected with the probe, which uses the principle of magnetostriction to detect the distance between two rings with centesimal resolution.
The probe length is 1470 mm and the body diameter is 40 mm. Sealing is guaranteed up to 1.5 MPa. The guide carriages are suitable for inclinometer tubes with a nominal internal diameter of 60 mm. The sensor output is digital with Bluetooth system and PDA with dedicated Android OTR application.
The probe is equipped with breakable arms for easy retrieval in case of a snag.
The device's App allows measurements to be taken safely and data to be checked and graphs to be obtained in situ.
How is it used?
The probe is placed in hole and dropped meter by meter. The user will check all guide long that the instrument will register the position of every ring to compare the most recent measurements to the older one and check the displacement of the rings of the tube through time.
