In case of measuring: under a centring base, between two centring elements, to measure the load on a strut, or measure the load during acceptance tests on poles; OTR suggests Hydraulic Load cell for tunnel arches.

Thehydrulic load cell is made up by a couple of circular plates in stainless steel welded along all the circumference. The cavity is saturated with deaerated oil which one guarantee good thermal performances and sensitivity to low loads.The instrument is totaly made up by stainless steel with IP68 seal. This characteristics makes the instrument reliable. Load cell is thought to offset eccentrical loads. To register correct measures the instrument ha sto be installed with load orthogonal to the support, if demanded, to an optimal load distribution.

How is it installed?                  

To the tunnel arches installation: clean the pose surface and implement a base plate with higher dimention of the cell diameters.

Weld to base some fixing points to contain the cell and weld to the tunnel arch a distribution plate with superior dimention compared to the instrument.

Place the hydraulic load cell on the base plate centering it at the containment fixing points and fixing the distribution plate to the technology.

Remember to protect the electrical cable.
