In case of: measuring tension in cable anchors and rock bolts; monitoring loads on structural beams,  monitoring load at a centring base; OTR suggest Anchor Load Cell OG150.

Products are toroid shaped inside them along all the circumference there are 8/16 Wheaston’s gate extensometer.

When the cell is deformed by a load the resistence of the extensometers proportionally change.

The instrument is made up by Stainless steel , with IP68 protection and a great thermal compensation. This characteristics makes OTR’s cells accurate and reliable products. To offset eccentric loads the instruments should be provided of sferical caps and distribution plates.

How is it installed?                               

After checkings with manual reader the blank reading, clean and pave the pose surface, to guarantee the absolute rigidity of the support surface of the cell, otherwise level the support surface using an iron plate with a minimum base thighness of 3cm. At this point connect the cell to the control unit and after having checked the control measure, start the stringing of the anchor till the setted value and then follow the settlement procedure of the anchor.

At the installation end arrange to protect the electrical cable and the measuring anchor to avoid mechanical damage and water infiltration.
