In case of monitoring: buildings damaged by landslides or earthquakes, retaining walls, bridges and docks, towers, bell; OTR suggests manual tiltmeters.
This instrument manualy check structures’ tilts with simply and fast measurements.
Is used to monitor horizontals or verticals inclination measures.
It’s made up by a steel dome for the inclination sensor with MEMS technology or servo-accelerometer.
Instrument’s mechanical allow a perfect placament of it on the measurement plate anchored to the surface to be measured either directly or by means of a special bracket. The measurement is made by placing the tiltmeter on the plate first in one direction and then in the respective orthogonal direction.
In order to avoid systematic errors, measurement takes place in the four mutually opposite directions of the measuring axes.
How is it installed?
The instrument is installed fixing a bracket or shelf that supports the measuring plate on the surface of the structure to be inspected. This plate is equipped with centring spheres for perfect positioning of the instrument on the centres. Multiple measurements can be made on both axes with straight and inverted positioning for zero compensation of the instrument.
